Sandra Oh makes History

Sunday night, Sandra Oh made history twice. Initially, as the first person of Asian descent to host the Golden Globes. She proved to be a great host with comedian Andy Samberg, the two playing off of each other with ease. They did this whole bit where they “insulted” other actors and actresses (they were actually complimenting them). Overall, these two were a great pair. Sophomore Milena Albertson says, “I loved their dynamic throughout the show. It was great to see two underrated actors get recognition.”

Instant Family- Sean Anders reflects his personal life

I went to see the movie Instant Family over the weekend and found myself crying most of the way through it. Not only because of the saddening narrative of foster children finding a home and being loved for who they are but mainly because it was disappointing to see that our system worked nothing like the one portrayed in the movie. To their credit, they were able to fully capture some of the things that are difficult when bringing foster children into your homes such as distrust and the inability to accept gifts, because ultimately sometimes they feel unworthy of being loved.
