Going into the 2017-18 NBA season, the Boston Celtics basically blew up their entire roster and acquired two NBA All-Stars in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward. They also acquired from the draft what seems to be a future superstar, Jayson Tatum, who had a spectacular first year, adding to their roster who the season prior, was the one seed.
Late round players often emerge as huge stars; players like Antonio Brown, Richard Sherman, and last year’s standouts Kareem Hunt and Alvin Kamara, were all post-3rd round picks. Tom Brady, arguably the greatest QB of all-time, was picked in the sixth round. However this season, it’s top picks like Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley that the fans are excited about, and the beginning of the season has been no disappointment.
Being an athlete is tough, but being a female athlete can be extremely challenging. The NBA Playoffs are officially underway and they’re already full of ups and downs. From Kawhi Leonard quitting on his team to the Khris Middleton buzzer beater to send the Celtics and Bucks into overtime, it has been proven that this year will be one of the best years the NBA playoffs has ever had. The competition is intense in both conferences, rookies such as Ben Simmons, Jayson Tatum, and Donovan Mitchell have been holding their own, and of course surprises have occurred. Just a quick note: my predictions were made before the playoffs officially began, and have not been altered or changed in anyway in response to their first game or two of the first round.
