Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a film that can be truly called “an instant classic,” and for good reason. Released in 1975, this film has been making audiences laugh out of their seats for generations with fantastic jokes and comedic satire that would make even the most serious of people chuckle. 

This film has been hailed as a masterpiece. “The best of the year,” they say, “of all time” they’re saying. I was so outrageously excited for this film, reading all of these reviews and discussions on how amazing this movie is. This film is the biggest disappointment of 2018.

Straight out the gate: this film is a menagerie of mastery — the direction, the cinematography, the production, the score, the script, and most of all, the performances. This cast was outstanding, and the fact that the film got snubbed at Screen Actors Guild Awards is perplexing.
