Friday Night Lights Game

This past Friday, students at HF gathered to watch the seniors play their last home game. The theme of the Friday Night Lights game was blackout, where students were asked to dress in all black to support the football team. The bleachers were filled with HF spirit, as everyone sat on the bleachers under the lights. The game did not disappoint.

The HF tornadoes played against Amityville. The Tornadoes swept the field with a win. The score was 34-14. This made sitting in the cold worth it. During halftime, the kickline performed with the marching band and gave an amazing performance! HF’s school spirit was through the roof! So many students, parents, teachers, etc, came to support our team in their last home game of the season.

Everyone looked forward to this event and being able to support the players. Students of all grades sat together in the bleachers to cheer the Tornadoes on. A sophomore, Eva DeSantis, stated that the game was, “Nice to see the whole school together and having fun, cheering on the players!” Nights like these are when many students realize how much they appreciate our school district. It’s remarkable to see that everyone comes together to have such a fun time and support our sports team in their last time playing on our field!
