Ever hear that one really popular song on the radio? It’s got a strong rhythm and almost sounds like you’re at a concert? Well that’s Golden for you.
To those who thought this would be good, I laugh at you. This should not surprise you, but I am not a fan of the trend at Disney with live-action remakes. So far in the many years they have been making them, there hasn’t been a tolerable one. This is a great achievement by Disney. So when Snow White was announced as the next of these cash grabs, I already knew it was going to be bad. Was I right? Yes. I can honestly say this is the first movie I have ever walked out on in a theater.
If you don’t know, in 2020 during the peak of Covid, a show came out on the fairly new Apple TV+. This show is Ted Lasso. The show follows Ted Lasso (played by Jason Sudeikas), an American college football coach who is hired to coach an English soccer team whose owner, Rebbeca Welton (played by Hannah Waddingham) secretly hopes his inexperience will lead to failure. But, Ted’s folksy, optimistic leadership proves unexpectedly successful.
This is for all you theater kids out there. The idea of musicals on stage being reimagined for a film is not a new idea. It has been done for centuries and has made people either awed to be back in that musical’s world or complaining that a song or story plot is not there. From hearing the people sing the song of angry men, to sometimes having to be a little bit naughty. These are the musical film adaptations that got the closest and that captured the essence of the musical. Before we start these are my honorable mentions and some that did not make the cut and why.
Ah, Hollywood; The place of new ideas, old ideas, and mostly no ideas at all recently. Hollywood over the years has had directors wanting to make their mark in cinema history. Some have like the great Steven Speilberg, Martin Scorsese, and Christopher Nolan. Sometimes we get those directors who wanted their dream on the screen that maybe should not be on the screen. And the question you're probably wondering is, are these visions and dreams good? To answer; No, 100% no. In my opinion, here is the list of movies that should not have even made it past the pitch.

How this show even made it to six seasons is beyond me. Most of you probably know about the “hit” Netflix show: Cobra Kai. A spin-off of the Karate Kid franchise whose last movie was so bad they needed to make another one with Ralph Macchio to remind people, “Oh yeah, this exists.”
When quarantine first began, many people scrambled to try to get back to a sense of normalcy and comfort. In doing so, people such as myself ended up rewatching many shows that they once enjoyed, whether it be from their childhood or a newer show that was just that good. This made streaming services very interpretive of what became popular in that time. Which is where we find Avatar: The Last Airbender, a Nickelodeon cartoon that ran from 2005-2008.
The long-awaited “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”, original television series is finally on Disney Plus, and people wonder if it is worth watching. Is it worth the hype? Let's break it down into categories…

With streaming services taking over the small screen, Showtime’s Black Monday is a criminally underrated show. Starring a ragtag group of outsiders working at their own stockbroker firm in the 80s, this story focuses on them trying to make it in the “Gentlemen’s Club” known as Wall Street. Season 1 reveals how they eventually caused the Black Monday crash of 1987 (a real stock market crash), while in real life nobody knows how it happened, this show makes up a story on what caused it.

The sun is setting over what seems like the most beautiful beach in the world. The sky is the most ethereal pink and purple. The water is a beautiful blue and so calm that there are barely any waves. The song changes completely and the next thing you know you are being launched into space in a rocket. You might be wondering, how this is possible? The answer is that anything is possible at The Sphere.
