Inside the Tornado

We get it, you just want silky straight hair that flows in the wind, or maybe bouncy tight ringlets that make people turn their heads in awe, however, a big role in getting there is the shampoo you use.

When students buy school supplies for the year, every subject is a different color to help differentiate which binder or folder is which. Normally, elementary school teachers choose the colors for their students' folders in a supply list. The colors that the teachers chose for each subject stick with students when they go to middle school and high school, creating this divide.

What colors are the subjects? This question has sparked up one of the most controversial arguments in history.

In the United States of America, the top 5 car brands consist of American, Japanese, and Korean brands such as Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, Honda, and Hyundai. Of course, they’re other cars out there which are great when it comes to debates such as this one. It allows people to have a wide range of preferences whether it is because of the car's looks, speed, reliability, cost, and more.

Here at Harborfields High School, we offer different ways to receive gym credits in order to graduate.  These classes include your stereotypical gym class and yoga.  Most students, especially in previous years, stick with taking the general gym class to gain these credits, but recently many more students have decided to take yoga instead.  

With Homecoming week coming up, HF is preparing to destroy Hauppauge on Saturday, September 30th, at 2 p.m.! And, don’t forget that Spirit Week starts on Tuesday, September 26th! Make sure to wear your tropical attire on Tuesday, Wednesday is red, white, and blue day, don’t forget to wear your class shirt  on Thursday, and Friday is HF spirit day! 

Harborfields Alum, Emmanuel Berbari, will call all three Yankees Games vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates on WFAN on September 15th, 16th, and 17th.

With the help of the Tornado News Team, the teachers and students of the Harborfields High School and Oldfield Middle School ENL programs set out to tell these students’ stories as part of the district-wide ENL celebration, “Our Past, Present, and Future.”  The hope was to shine a light on the ELL kids for the rest of the community, and hopefully beyond, about the hard work that these students do.
