Halloween at HF!!
Demonstrated by many students' opinions, Halloween at HF is in the running for one of the best times of the year.
From costume day on the 29th, which always proves successful with a massive turnout, to Safe Halloween, where younger kids of the district get to trick or treating among various clubs and activity booths at the high school, HF is one of the best places to celebrate this spooky season.
On costume day, which this year was held on Friday the 29th, we saw the shiniest cutlery to the holiest nuns. When asked who had the best costume, senior Gaby Garcia, who dressed as world famous Indie singer Phoebe Bridgers, said “Probably the group who did the priests and the pope. That was really funny. But honorable mentions I’d have to say were the knives and forks.”
Harborfields also brought back its annual Safe Halloween, which last year was cancelled due to COVID-19. This year, clubs from the high school set up stations outside on the bus loop as a COVID-19 precaution. The groups decorated their tables and tents according to their club.
Spanish club had an especially large turn out with Dia de lo Muertos decoration. Senior, Debra Jaffe, “I think the best part was Un Poco Loco playing on repeat for 2 hours”. Halloween at HF this year can be considered a success, with participation through the roof and kids having more fun than ever. See you next year!
