Mothers and Children Massacred in Mexico
There was a tragedy that occurred in Mexico. Women and children ranging from 8 months to 43 years old were shot and burned alive in their cars. They were between the Mexican states of Sonora and Chihuahua. Police officials believe that it was possibly a cartel that attacked them.
There were 6 deaths and 6 children were wounded in the attack. The group of people were simply traveling in three SUVs. Police think that the gunmen may have believed they were part of a rival gang which is very far from the truth. The police first found a burned-out Chevy Tahoe with 5 people in it. Traveling 11 miles up the road they found a suburban with 2 children and a dead woman. There was also a second Suburban close by with a woman's body.
The victims were all citizens of the United States and Mexico. Luckily, three people had been detained in the attack against the LeBaron family. Among the many killed was Rhonita Maria Miller, 30. Rhonita ́s 4 children were also killed. So was Christina Marie Langford Johnson, 31 and her two children. Lanfourd Jr whose family was killed in the travesty told Fox News, "It's just huge. It's just absolutely unimaginable. This is the absolute worst nightmare for our entire existence in Mexico...and we never thought it was possible."
When Avery Medico was interviewed about what went down in Mexico she was shocked she said, “I can't believe people would do this to one another. So many helpless and innocent families were hurt for no reason.”
Luckily 8 children did escaped the cartel after they killed their families. These brave children hid in the brush and walked miles to get help all while being wounded from the countless bullets being shot at them. A 13 year old kid named Devin Blake Langford witnessed the death of his mother and brothers. Where some people may have given up he did not. Devin hid his surviving 6 siblings in the bushes and according to Kendra Lee Miller said in the post, He then walked 14 miles to the La Mora community and delivered the news of the attack, Kendra Lee Miller said.
Many people were killed in the attack were just trying to save their loved ones. For example Daily Herald says, “In a testament to a mother's devotion, one woman reportedly stashed her baby on the floor of her Suburban and got out of the vehicle, waving her arms to show the gunmen she wasn't a threat.”
