Ben Shelton is a 22 year-old tennis player who was born in Atlanta, but currently lives in Greenville, Florida. He started playing from a very young age and played for his college team The University of Florida before he went pro. He gained many great tennis titles before even graduating college.

In 2022, Ben Shelton made his public announcement that he will not be continuing his college tennis career to become pro. According to Luciana Purpura, a sophomore in Harborfields High School, “Ben Shelton is hot.”

During the Us Open 2023, Ben made a statement. He was only 20 years-old when he made it to the semi-finals for the first time. He unexpectedly won his first match of the tournament y (1-6) (6-2) (6-2) against P. Cachin.

After a very long and hard journey, he lost in the semifinals against Novaik Djokovic (3-6) (2-6) (6-7). According to the Us Open website , after his loss against Djokovic, he got interviewed and said, “It doesn't get much better than this.” At 20, he was just thrilled to be playing against some of his idols.

Ben Shelton is an incredible and strong individual already at such a young age and his bubbly comforting personality attracts many fans to follow along with him in his tennis journey. He’s even been known to make direct eye contact with reporters like this one while on the court!
