Bi-Lingual HF Students: Earn Your Seal of Biliteracy!

Are you able to speak more than one language and want to do something with that? 

Look into getting the Seal of Biliteracy. The only qualifications you need to qualify is to know how to read and write proficiently in a second language and apply for the Seal.

To go into more detail about this you need to complete all requirements for a NY state local or regents diploma. You need to be able to earn a total of 6 points on the chart including a culminating project in English and a culminating project in the target language.

If you are interested in applying for this, there are two different things you must do.  First, if you are a senior you must complete a Seal of Biliteracy Student Application form to apply. You can find this link in the google classroom for your grade:

Sophomores: cjbivro

Freshmen: 73vuyk2

If you are a freshman,sophomore or a junior you do not need to fill out a form, but join your google classroom for more information.

Now you're probably wondering why you would take a test for no reason. Getting this seal shows the importance of being bilingual in today's society. The seal also becomes a part of your high school diploma and you'll receive an official seal on your diploma.
