**Seal Of Biliteracy INFO**
**Informational Meeting Announcement: Run now through October 18th
Are you an AP Spanish or AP Italian student? Do you speak another language at home? If you said yes to any of these questions, then you may qualify for the New York State Seal of Biliteracy. The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given to high school graduates who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in English and one or more world languages. It encourages the study of languages, affirms the value of diversity in a multilingual society, and provides universities and future employers with additional information about applicants. There will be an informational meeting about the Seal of Biliteracy on Wednesday, October 18th, from 2:30 to 3:30 in the Guidance Resource Center. Applications will be coming out soon. In the meantime, if you are interested in the Seal, you can join the Google Classroom for your grade level:

**Seal Application Announcement: Run from October 19th through November 15th
The Seal of Biliteracy Application is now open. The link to the application can be found on the district website or on the Seal of Biliteracy Google classroom. Applications are due NO LATER than November 15th. Please note: Only Seniors need to fill out the application at this time. If you are a Freshman, Sophomore or Junior and interested in pursuing the Seal of Biliteracy, please join the Google Classroom of your cohort to stay informed.
