The "Mixed Reality" Virtual Headset
Do you want to get your hands on a VR headset? Try the all-new Windows Mixed Reality.
The headset came out on October 17, 2017. The product includes the headset, along with wireless controllers. The VR graphics are amazing; its graphics resolution is at 1440 x 1440 per eye and a 95-degree field of view. The popular games for the VR are Arizona Sunshine, Super Hot VR, and Space Pirates. At the Walt Whitman Mall, there is a Microsoft Store that had a VR Headset, and people were amazed with its quality.
From my perspective, the Mixed Reality was astonishing. The pictures were realistic, and clearer than those of the HTC VIVE. The HTC VIVE’s biggest problem was its uncomfortable headset and bulky size. The comparison between the MIxed Reality and the HTC VIVE is that they are of similar size, similar appearance, and similar high prices. The Mixed Reality costs $499 and the HTC VIVE costs $599. However, on the HTC VIVE, it’s very hard to set up the connectors and troubleshoot the headset and controllers. The Mixed Reality is very easy to set up, you don’t need the connectors it doesn’t acquire with it, and there is no troubleshooting with the headset.
