What Happened at Apple's iPhone Event

Another year, another iPhone. Last Wednesday, Apple hosted their annual September event, in which they revealed the next generations of iPhones and Apple Watches. What did they announce?

iPhone XS

Apple revealed this year’s flagship device this week. The device is very similar to last year’s iPhone X, albeit with some modest improvements in its camera and its processing power. It is being sold in silver and space gray finishes, as well as in a new gold color. The iPhone XS will also be sold alongside a larger model, known as the iPhone XS Max, something that’s been missing in Apple’s lineup since last year.

iPhone XR

In essence, it is a more inexpensive, but similar version of last year’s iPhone X. Due to its lower price, some features to be missing from this phone, such as increased bezels, only a single camera, and lower display quality. However, the iPhone XR, will rumoredly come in a staggering 6 color options, making it a great deal for those who don’t want to shell out more than $1,000 for the more expensive iPhone X.

Apple Watch Series 4

The Apple Watch has been a huge hit for Apple the last couple of years, and this year, many new changes are expected. The device itself will have a larger screen, while retaining its current size, increasing its screen size by 30%. The device will also be reportedly thinner, as well as contain an Electrocardiogram (EKG) and more accurate health sensors.

So there you have it. The iPhone XS and Apple Watch will be available for preorder on Friday the 14th, while the XR will be available for preorder on October 19th.
