The Apple 2020 September Event

Summer has ended and school has begun, now everyone is waiting on that new iPhone, or iPad release from the tech giant Apple.

People will line outside the stores for a new iPhone even though in one year the same thing will happen and the cycle will only just continue from here. After an hour long description and showcase. Apple has come out with a new Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, iPad Air, and the new iPad.

They are also releasing the new IOS 14 to which everyone can update and use the new widgets. This update has allowed Apple devices to work even faster and senior Jared Vancott says, “Apple is fast and it’s as smooth as a sports card.” With these new devices and updates Apple is making their devices even better.

First we’ll go over the Apple Watch Series 6 and the Apple Watch SE. Many people say that this is just a high quality watch and that it’s just a smaller iPhone for the same price. Some people have even said it’s a complete waste of money and would rather not bother purchasing it. But, it can be used for some specific health benefits including blood oxygen level tracking. Which can be helpful for people who need to track their blood oxygen levels, according to 9to5mac.com.

To make sure the person knows if the levels are not below 80%, “This feature would work similarly to existing watchOS heart rate notification features. If Apple Watch detects a blood oxygen level below a certain threshold, it will trigger a notification for the user.” Making it easy for people to electronically track their blood oxygen levels as stated on

Next is the iPad Air and the new generation of iPad. First with the iPad Air, this device has no home button and has a 10.9 liquid retina display. Including the new A-14 Bionic chip it is the newest iPad on the market as of right now. It comes in the colors of silver, space gray, rose gold, green, and sky blue. Which can be used for both drawing and editing apps.

The new generation of iPad is different from the iPad Air. This includes a home button and the new A12 bionic chip, a more inexpensive version of the iPad Air. Senior Courtney Schroder says that her favorite thing about her iPad is the fact that she is, “able to have more than one thing open at a time. Which can be very helpful when doing school work,” and  “if you have the money to spend and is useful to your passions and future career, I’d say buy one!”

Finally what everyone has been waiting for, the new release of the iPhone12. Which got further delayed due to the Coronavirus with no release date in sight as to this day.

All these devices will be available to be bought in October from the Apple website. The IOS 14 update for iPhone 6 (made in 2014) to the new iPhone 11 (made in 2019),  is now available to all devices as of September 16th 2020.
