The Mean Girl's Play Was So Fetch!
A few weeks ago, I came to the school and watched the Mean Girls production- and it knocked my socks off! The jokes were there, the singing was there, the acting was there, what more could you want? Heres why I loved it.
First off, the sets and costuming were done just right. The sets were all super bright and colorful. They were cute, fitting, and very functional! Some highlights were Regina's room, the school, and the safari. The costumes, from the most prominent main characters to the background dancers, were all spot on and very cohesive. My favorites were the plastic’s Halloween costumes and Regina’s dance costume with the neck brace.
Additionally, the casting was immaculate. Ainsley Batsford made the perfect Regina, with her long blond hair and her dramatic and powerful singing voice. Amelia Freiburger made a great Cady as well, embodying the character’s mannerisms perfectly. Another one of my favorite castings was Charlotte Batsford as Karen. She portrayed all the best parts of Karen's character with grace. She was witty, bubbly, and captured Karen’s aloofness perfectly.
Congratulations to everyone who helped make this show! It was incredible, and it'll be hard to top next year!
