Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse (2018)
People have been raving about the new movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. This new animated feature film focuses on Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, a Brooklyn high school student with brand new spider-like abilities. His dad is part of the NYPD, his mom is a nurse and he appears to be a normal and happy teen. As he pursues his new life as a hero, Miles learns the ropes and navigates the road to success with the help of the other Peter Parker.
Through a new and intriguing form of animation, Miles connects with different Spideys from different dimensions. These alternate universe versions of Peter Parker all have the classic original story. The one in which he’s bitten by a radioactive spider, gets powers, endures a tragedy, and vows to save the city. They’ve all been through it have similar stories
The writers did a fantastic job balancing each characters story throughout the plot. The parallels and contrasts of each hero leave the viewer satisfied by the time the credits role. Between the fantastic writing and high quality casting this movie was destined for success. Stars such as Chris Pine, John Mulaney, and Hailee Steinfeld all had large roles in the production and did a stand up job as well.
Overall, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a huge hit and deserves 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Personally, I highly recommend this movie to all ages and feel it deserves any success that comes it’s way during award season.
