The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 4 has a confirmed release date. Netflix confirmed the hit drama TV show will come to end on December 31st, 2020. The teaser was posted to the Netflix YouTube channel on October 26th and has already gained over 381,000 views after 1 day!

Kiernan Shipka returns to star as Sabrina Spellman in the 8 episode season. The rest of the cast returns as well to play their role for a final time. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, creator of the show took to Instagram to post the teaser and say, “Get ready for a little New Year’s Evil, Witches!!!”

Season 3 hit Netflix in January of 2020. In season 3 we saw Sabrina navigate the depths of Hell as she attempted to rescue her boyfriend from the Dark Lord. The show incorporated different timelines, resulting in there being 2 Sabrina’s in the present day. One that rules Hell while the other returns to Greendale.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said season 4 would be “...following both Sabrinas simultaneously going forward.” While still in the process of filming season 4 he said, “Each part has its own kind of identity, and Part 4 is different from Part 3, where a lot of it was set in Hell, we still have that. But each episode of Part 4 is like its own mini horror movie, which is exciting.”

In July, Netflix gave details of the new season, saying that, “The coven must fight each terrifying threat one-by-one (The Weird, The Returned, The Darkness to name a few), all leading up to…The Void, which is the End of All Things. As the witches wage war, with the help of The Fright Club, Nick begins to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina’s heart, but will it be too late?”

Unfortunately, season 4 will be the final season of the show, unless it’s picked up by another network. Both the fans, cast and crew are sad about the ending.  Aguirre-Sacasa said, “The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show. I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see Part Four.”
