Major Twitch Streaming Accomplishments

Twitch, a streaming service used by many to broadcast live gaming and other events has become increasingly popular. TommyInnit, a 16 year old streamer from Britain accomplished a major goal of many streamers. While streaming Minecraft he reached over 650,000 viewers.

According to Stream Hatchet and “Slasher” Breslau, the peak in viewers makes Tommy’s stream the eighth highest individual broadcast across both Twitch and Youtube. However, that was not his only accomplishment. Slasher on Twitter said, “TommyInnit’s stream of the Dream SMP finale just peaked at 650,000 viewers, making Tommy the third highest all time concurrent viewer stream on Twitch, now ahead of Ninja/Drake.” In first and second place is Gregfg, a Minecraft and Fortnite streamer from Spain, with 660,000 views.

TommyInnit live streamed the finale of the Dream SMP on January 20, 2021. The Dream SMP, a Minecraft survival server run by popular Youtuber Dream has been gaining popularity as more creators join and give into the roleplay that occurs on the server. Watching the streams is like watching a TV show, each content creator on the server has a character that has their own unique traits. The characters indulge in war, politics, and so much more.

These are major accomplishments for somebody so young. On Twitch, Tommy is the most-watched Minecraft Channel. He is also in high ranks for most-watched English streamer and biggest channel on the entire platform in terms of viewership.
