SZA Causes a Splash at The Garden

This past weekend SZA sold out two nights at Madison Square Garden on her SOS tour to promote her sophomore album “SOS” which has been number one on the charts for the past ten weeks. The singer/songwriter sold roughly 42,000 tickets for her first tour since The Championship Tour in the summer of 2018. Upon tickets being released to the general public, they sold out within minutes. This is SZA’s second time playing in the world-famous arena, she last performed at The Garden in 2018.

At both shows SZA had guest performers play along with her. At the first show, before playing her song “Ghost in the Machine” which features Phoebe Bridgers, she brought Bridgers out to perform it with her. After bringing out Bridgers SZA called for Cardi B by simply yelling “Cardi!” She came out on stage to perform her 2018 hit “I Do” which features SZA.

SZA performed a breathtaking 32-song set and performed all 23 songs off of her new album, “SOS”. She performed these songs on a beautifully designed stage that featured a giant diving board which she used to give the illusion of jumping into an ocean. While playing her song “Supermodel” she rode around the arena on an inflatable raft to give every fan in each section a chance to see her up close.

SZA will continue to tour through March 23rd where she will be performing her final show of the SOS tour at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
