Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" off to an Enchanting Start

After many months of waiting, Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated “Eras Tour” is off to a fantastic start. Swift has performed a three and half hour 44 song set every weekend for the past two weeks and will continue until her five day run at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles. Each night she introduces a surprise song that will only be played once on that tour along with her consistent setlist.

Swift divides her setlist into ten distinct sections opening with her 2019 album “Lover” and ending with her most recent album “Midnights”. She is performing many albums live for the first time on this tour, with songs from her albums “Lover”, “Folklore”, “Evermore”, and “Midnights” never being performed live due to being released during the COVID lockdown. Along with these albums never being performed, she is also performing newly released “from the vault” tracks which were only released on her two newly rerecorded albums “Red (Taylor’s Version)” and “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”.

Many of the cities that will be hosting Swift are welcoming her with open arms. The city of “Glendale”, Arizona, had its name changed to “Swift City” for the weekend that she would be performing. She has brought an average of $60,000 a night to each city she has performed in. To prepare for the show, fans have been leaving the morning of the show to beat the hours of traffic she has caused in each city and around each stadium. Die-hard fans have even been camping out as early as 4:00 am outside of her merchandise booth to make sure they can get what they want when it opens each day. This tour has also caused price jumps in flights and hotels.

You can catch Taylor Swift on the east coast in Philadelphia from May 12-14th, Foxborough from May 19-21st, and East Rutherford from May 26-28th.
