Caramel apples are a quick and easy treat you can make in no time and has just two ingredients! One of the main ingredients in this recipe is the caramel. Gather some caramel candies, unwrap them, and put them in a small saucepan (one bag of Kraft caramels will make about four apples). Place the saucepan over medium heat and add two tablespoons of water. Grab a wooden spoon or a plastic spatula and stir constantly until your caramel is completely melted. While your candies are melting in the pan, make sure to wash your apples and stick them with popsicle sticks. Here comes the fun part! Remove your pan from the heat and quickly dip your apples. If you want a little extra kick and crunch in your treat, as soon as you finish dipping your apples, roll them in toppings of your choice. You can add toppings such as peanuts, cinnamon cereal, chopped Reese’s Pieces, sprinkles, etc. Your options are endless! Once you have finished covering your apples, stand them up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place them in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve them. Caramel apples are a fall staple and are the perfect mix of sweet and salty!
Pumpkin is one of the main flavors I think of when I think of fall flavors. Pumpkin bread is another easy treat to make and is one of my family’s favorite fall foods. You will need two cups of all purpose flour, one teaspoon of ground cinnamon, one teaspoon of baking soda, a half teaspoon of baking powder, and hald a teaspoon of kosher salt. You will also need one fourth teaspoon of ground ginger, one fourth teaspoon of ground nutmeg, one and one fourth cup of granulated sugar, one fourth cup of sour cream, two large eggs, one teaspoon of vanilla extract, one cup of pumpkin puree, and lastly cinnamon sugar for sprinkling. First and foremost, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line an 8”-x-4” loaf pan with parchment paper and then grease it with cooking spray or softened butter. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Place that bowl aside and in another large bowl using a hand mixer, beat together melted butter, sugar, pumpkin puree, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined. Then transfer the batter to your prepared pan and you may sprinkle the top with cinnamon sugar. Finally, place in the oven for about fifty minutes to an hour, and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. My family and I make this recipe all the time and we love it! We eat it for breakfast with butter, and also for dessert with vanilla ice cream.
Last but not least, here’s a great recipe or cinnamon roll blondies! There are three parts to this recipe: for the blondies, you will need one and a half sticks of softened butter, one cup of packed brown sugar, half a cup of granulated sugar, two large eggs, and one tablespoon of pure vanilla extract. You will also need one and three fourths cups of all purpose flour, one teaspoon of cinnamon, one teaspoon of baking powder, and a half a teaspoon of kosher salt. To make the blondies, first preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a 9x9 pan with parchment paper and then grease it with either butter or cooking spray. Then, in a lage bowl, beat together butter and both sugars until they are light and fluffy using a hand mixer. Add your eggs and vanilla and beat until combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and beat until just combined. Take your mixture out of the bowl and press into your prepared pan. For the cinnamon swirl, you are going to need one fourth cup of softened butter, one fourth cup of packed brown sugar, one tablespoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of kosher salt. In a medium bowl, using a hand mixer, combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt and beat until smooth. Dollop cinnamon butter all over the blondie batter using a spoon. With the back of the spoon, gently swirl the cinnamon butter into the batter. Then, bake until golden brown for about twenty five to thirty minutes. While the blondies are baking, gather your ingredients and start making the glaze. You need one and a half cups of powdered sugar, two tablespoons of milk, and a half tablespoon of pure vanilla extract. Combine powdered sugar milk, and vanilla in a small bowl and whisk until combined. After the blondies are cooled, cut them into squares and drizzle the glaze on top. If you are a fan of cinnamon rolls, you will absolutely love these! They taste just like a warm cinnamon roll.
