Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Will Go Down In History

Taylor Swift has done six tours to support her albums, but none have been as successful or on as big of a scale as her most recent tour, the Eras Tour. The Eras Tour began on March 17, 2023 with a crowd size of almost 70,000 people in Glendale, Arizona. No one knew what to expect that first night.

The Eras Tour concerts typically last about 3 hours and 15 mins, with Swift singing about 45 songs. These concerts have been played rain or shine with 152 tour dates across five continents! This is a huge feat for the artist! She performs songs from all of her albums and adds surprise songs and has brought out many special guests, such as Jack Antonoff, Ed Sheeran, Travis Kelce, Sabrina Carpenter, and more.

The Eras tour has only gotten bigger as time has gone on. As TIME Magazine quotes, “By the end of 2023—less than halfway through its scheduled 152-show run—the Eras Tour had earned over $1 billion to become the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.” Many people travel very long distances for her shows with crowd sizes that have even reached 96,000 people! It is estimated that the tour's total economic impact will pass $10 billion!

With so many people trying so hard to get tickets to the Eras Tour, Ticketmaster simply couldn’t handle the demand. Many were unable to get tickets and were very upset with the artist and the website. It was difficult for fans to understand that they wouldn’t be able to see their favorite artist in concert. Many ended up buying extremely expensive resold tickets instead.

In conclusion, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has had the biggest cultural and economic impact of any tour over the past year and a half since it began and it’s not slowing down any time soon. With so many fans trying so hard to attend, consider yourself lucky if you have been given the opportunity to attend the Eras Tour.
