Not What We Expected

It’s already week eight of the NFL and the New York Giants look like it’s only been their eighth day practicing together. Their only win of the season came in week three when they took on the Houston Texans. As sad as it may be, the Giants are nothing new to offensive struggles.

Even with the new addition of star running back Saquon Barkley and some new offensive line members including Will Hernandez, Big Blue hasn’t been able to get it done on either side of the ball. “Can [Eli Manning] still throw it? Yeah. it’s cool catching it shallow and trying to take it, but I want to go over the top of somebody,” Odell Beckham Jr. told Bleacher Report back in week four.

Most people know that Manning will not be stepping out of the pocket anytime soon, but even if we wanted to, he can’t, there is no protection! After week five, the offensive line had been ranked twenty five out of thirty two, making this unit one of the worst O-lines in the league at this time. With the trade deadline approaching at the end of this month, it will be interesting to see how things turn out.Hopefully they will be back to their winning ways they once had.
