Derrick Henry Out For the Season?!

In the Tennessee Titans week 8 game against the Indianapolis Colts, Derrick Henry went down and suffered a serious foot injury and had to leave the game.

Henry broke his fifth metatarsal bone and has already had surgery on his foot and has been placed on the IR by the Titans, ruling him out for what could potentially be the rest of the season.

The unusual part about this is that he actually returned to the game after being injured and played through it. This is devastating news considering Henry, who has already solidified himself as the best running back in the league and was on pace for another 2,000 yard rushing season, he definitely was the key to this Titans offense.

The Titans almost immediately picked up former MVP Adrian Peterson with the plans of him becoming their new starting running back. Peterson, who is now 36 years old, was with the Detroit Lions last year where he rushed for 604 yards and 7 touchdowns on 156 attempts. Peterson proved to us last year that he still has some gas left in the tank and can hopefully keep this Titans offense alive.

Max Malich stated, “I hope to see Peterson renew an RB1 role that he used to destroy opponents back in the day, with the run game being so detrimental to the Titans offense. It will be fun to see how this all pans out with the veteran looking to fill in the role of arguably the most dominant running back in the game today.”

We will have to wait until this Sunday at 8:20 PM where the Tennessee Titans take on the powerful Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football. On that very day, the Tennessee Titans surprisingly dominated the Los Angeles Rams in a 28-16 win. Adrian Peterson rushed for 21 yards on 10 attempts and scored late in the fourth quarter to really secure the win.

Peterson did exactly what he was brought in for and will look to keep this momentum going next week when they play the 5-3 New Orleans Saints.
