Is Malik Nabers going to Save the Giants?
Could Malik Nabers be the next big wide receiver out of LSU? We have seen many big wide receivers come out of LSU such as Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, and Odell Beckham Jr. On Sunday Malik Nabers had 8 catches for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns on Sunday, coming off a 127-yard game in week 2. The Giants were on the road as a big underdog against the Browns, despite this they still found a way to win 21-15. Malik Nabers also made history against the Browns by being the first player in NFL history to have 20 receptions and 3 receiving touchdowns in their first 3 NFL games.
On Thursday in a game against the Cowboys, Nabers started the game hot with a big 39-yard reception on the opening drive. According to ESPN.com, Malik Nabers ended the game with 12 catches for 115 yards but had an unfortunate exit to the game with a concussion. But this didn’t stop him from making NFL history by having 25 receptions and 3 touchdowns in their first 4 games. This also has had 35 receptions in four games which is second in NFL history.
Students who were asked said that Malik Nabers would be the next great player on the Giants. He may be on pace to make it to the Hall of Fame or become the next Odell Beckam Jr. if he keeps working hard and putting in the effort. They also say Malik Nabers could become the face of the Giants because they have not had an exceptional player ever since Saquon Barkley left to play for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Malik Nabers teammates and coaches have many great things to say about him, such as Wan'dale Robinson who said “He's a baller," and “He just goes out there and makes plays.". His Coach Brian Daboll said “ He is doing some good things, we are glad to have him.” When we interviewed Eli Noah, a student at Harborfields he said, “Malik Naber has the potential to be the best Wide Receiver in Giants history". So is he the next big wide receiver out of LSU? Only time will tell.
