Harborfields Unified Bowling Season Begins

On Monday, February 24th, 2025 the Harborfields unified bowling team kicked off their first day of the season. Unified bowling is an after school program that partners special needs students with general education students to create an inclusive and competitive environment.

The team is coached by Harborfields High School special education teachers Rhonda Lebit and Benjamin Bertuch. Practice is three days a week at Larkfield Lanes.

Freshman bowler Madelyn Melgar said, “I think bowling is fun. I see Joey and Charlotte and Leah. My favorite part is I get [to] throw [the bowling ball].”

A lot of things have changed in the past three years of the program, there are more teammates, new uniforms, and many more strikes. We are looking forward to seeing how the season goes.
