New Ways to Enter and Exit Harborfields
Due to certain protocols regarding Covid-19, Harborfields High School has had to undergo big changes to the building. While we were all used to going to school and entering through any of the doors in past years, this year is a bit different. Now you must enter the building based on the time you come to school, and the location of your classes.
Everytime you enter the school, you must wait on a socially distanced line so you can get your temperature checked. Many students find this to be very different. Ally Puccio describes entering the building as, “The weirdest part of the day.” You then get to proceed to class, yet if you need to use the stairs, you can only go up and down specific sides.
Another change covid has brought to Harborfields is exiting the building. You can only leave the school through certain doors based on the location of your last period class that way everybody isn’t crowding each other in the main lobby. If you come to school late, you can only enter through the main entrance. Although these new protocols are set for safety, they are definitely different from what all the students and staff are used to during a normal school year and will take time to get used to.
