Senior Butler Day
Senior Butler day has been a Harborfields Tradition for many years. It's a fundraiser for the senior class where the underclassmen buy a brother, sister or friend for 10 dollars and get to boss them around for the day. Last year was supposed to be the final year because the teachers found it “distracting”, but since so many senior activities have been ripped away from the class of 2021 they decided to throw us a bone. There is music playing through the halls, funny costumes, and the line for deli is out the door. Butlers get to leave five minutes early from class to meet their buyer, music can be played through the halls if appropriate but there is no food allowed this year due to COVID-19. It's overall a good time and kids had something to look forward to. The only downfall to this year is the different cohorts. If your last name ends in L but your best friend in 10th grade ends in M then they can't buy you and you're left out of this fun experience. As freshmen we looked forward to all the fun activities that came with being a senior and having it being ripped away makes going to school unbearable. It's not the best but at least they are trying to give us back some of the fun experiences.
