Coming to you soon…Homecoming Week!

With Homecoming week coming up, HF is preparing to destroy Hauppauge on Saturday, September 30th, at 2 p.m.! And, don’t forget that Spirit Week starts on Tuesday, September 26th! Make sure to wear your tropical attire on Tuesday, Wednesday is red, white, and blue day, don’t forget to wear your class shirt  on Thursday, and Friday is HF spirit day! 

Recently, Jaxie Howlett and Jack Wilkens from the Tornado News Team spoke with Max Vaughan, the president of the Junior Class, about what you can expect from HF in the upcoming week! “You can expect a pre-game college-style game run by leadership that you don’t want to miss,” Max told Jaxie and Jack. “And each grade created an awesome float and it’s gonna be lit!”

So many people have chipped in to help out with the building and design of these floats, so thank you all! And we can’t forget, our amazing Marching Band(directed by Mrs. Scilla), and our outstanding Kickline (directed by Mrs.Best), will be performing at the Pep Rally on Friday during the school day and at the Homecoming game! 

HF Kickline Pep Rally Captains Amelia Freiberger and Ainsley Batsford also spoke to the Tornado News Team about their Pep Rally performance. “We feel that sometimes, the Kickline and the Marching Band don’t get as much recognition as some of the sports teams do, so we want people to appreciate our performance this Friday and Saturday. I am infinitely grateful that the Pep Rally gets to showcase the Kickline and Marching band as we get the opportunity to shine! ”Ainsley told us. They have choreographed a spectacular performance for you all, so definitely be there! Let’s go Harborfields!
