Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Review

With the release of the newest edition to the Star Wars saga, many older plot holes have been tied up, but also many new ones have been created. If the lore of the Star Wars saga plays a huge role in why you watch it, than your chances of enjoying the movie are in your favor.

Besides the fact the movie was rushed and ultimately created new plot holes, I believe a true fan can enjoy the plot and the high paced action of the movie. I felt as if this movie introduced too many different concepts of the ‘Force’ and what the ‘Force’ can do.

Characters such as the stable boy from the ending scene of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, who was confirmed ‘Force-sensitive’, left many fans wanting more in the story. Finn was confirmed to be ‘Force-sensitive’ by J.J Abrams. The whole concept was barely touched upon in the movie, and since the release or even the announcement of episode seven, fans have hoped Finn would become a Jedi or play an important role within the Force.

The film was a 2 hour and 22 minutes, but I believe it should’ve been in the 2:45 to a 3 hour movie just because of how much lore and the extent of loose ends that needed to be tied up, but the story was pretty consistent. Overall, it was very action-packed and kept the viewers entertained. It was a thrilling movie to watch and if I was asked to rate it, I would confidently give it an 8.2 out of 10.
