1.) A Real Pain
A Real Pain comes out on November 1. The film is written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg, and is benign distributed by searchlight features. The film stars Jesse Eisenberg and Emmy-Winner Kieran Culkin, who both give great performances. The film follows Eisenberg and Culkin as cousins, David and Benji, who reunite for a trip through Poland to honor their grandmother. Throughout their adventure, things become complicated as tensions and conflicts involving their family history reemerge. A Real Pain is a well written film, that tells a comedic and dramatic story through its entertaining characters and story.
2.) Blitz
On November 1, Blitz releases in theaters. It is written and directed by Steve McQueen, who won best picture at the 2014 Academy Awards for 12 Years A Slave, which he directed. Blitz is a World War II film starring Saorise Ronan, and takes place during the British Capital bombings. Ronan plays a mother Rita, who must search for missing son amidst the conflict. Blitz is a riveting World War II film with an incredible story with an excellent acting performance by Saoirse Ronan.
3.) Hit Pig
HitPig comes out in theaters on November 1. It is an animated family movie about a bounty hunter pig that finds himself on an adventure around the world with an elephant he was supposed to capture. Jason Segel plays the main protagonist, HitPig. The movie has a vibrant and fun animation style that will be enjoyed by all who watch it.
4.) Heretic
On November 8, Heretic releases. It is a horror movie directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, and is being distributed by A24. The story of the film follows two young Mormon women, who are forced to play a deadly and sinister game of cat-and-mouse in the house of a strange man, Mr. Reed. In the film, Mr. Reed is played by Hugh Grant. Heretic is an intense religious horror, with Hugh Grant as a terrifying antagonist.
5.) The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever comes out in theaters on November 8. The movie is directed by Dallas Jenkins. Creator of the show The Chosen. The movie is about six troublesome kids that disrupt their town's yearly Christmas performance, and their actions lead to a snowball of chaos and mayhem. This is a fun holiday movie for families to enjoy.
6.) Red One
Red One, the comedy action Christmas movie releases on November 16. The story follows Callum Drift, the North Pole’s Head of Security, played by Dwayne Johnson, who has to find a kidnapped Santa (Red One), played by J.K. Simmons. Callum must team up with a bounty hunter played by Chris Evans, along with other companions including a giant polar bear to find Santa. The movie is directed by Jake Kasdan, who directed Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumani: The Next Level.
7.) Gladiator II
Gladiator II comes out on November 22. This is the sequel to Gladiator, which won best picture in the 2001 Academy Awards. Gladiator 2 is directed by the legendary director Ridley Scott, known for many great films such as Blade Runner, The Martian, Black Hawk Down, and many more. Gladiator II stars Paul Mescal, who plays a character named Lucisu. After his home is conquered by the Roman Empire, filled with rage, he becomes a gladiator in the colosseum, and battles to bring glory to the people of Rome. This film has a cast of many great actors, including Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington to name a film. Gladiator II will be a thrilling roman epic filled with intense action.
8.) Wicked
On November 22, Wicked will be released in theatres.This is an adaptation of the Tony Award Winning musical by the same name. The movie is part one of two, and tells the origin of the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba, and her friendship with Glidna the Good Witch, before the events of The Wizard of Oz. Cynthia Erivo plays Elphaba and Ariana Grande plays Glinda. The cast includes Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard. Jon M. Chu, who directed Crazy Rich, In the Heights, and more.
9.) Moana 2
On November 27, Moana 2 will come out in theaters. Auli’i Cravalho returns to play Moana and Dwayne Johnson returns to play Maui. The movie will follow the two of them on an adventure in the seas, going into dangerous and unknown parts of the ocean to face new foes and overcome the new challenges in their way. Moana 2 will be a fun, entertaining movie, filled with humor and emotion perfect for all ages to enjoy.
10.) Queer
Queer comes out on November 27. It is directed by Luca Guadagnino, who directed Challengers earlier this year. The film follows William Lee, who recounts his life in Mexico City, where he tries to pursue a young man, named Eugene Allerton, who he believes he has made an intimate connection with. Daniel Craig stars in the film. Craig played James Bond in the most recent films in the James Bond Franchise. Queer tells a deeply personal narrative with exceptional acting and an excellent storyline.
