What Threats Are Facing the United States?

With it recently being the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, an attack that killed thousands of Americans and led us to join the second world war, it is appropriate to analyze the threats facing the United States today, 79 years later.

If you ask anyone in Washington, Silicon Valley or big tech, they’ll tell you that Russia is our biggest threat. They’ll tell you that they have penetrated our government, threaten our democracy, and have worked tirelessly to subvert our economy and way of life. Since the day Donald Trump was elected in 2016, this endless complex collusion hoax dominated our public conversation. It did so for the last four years. The simple fact is that Russia never had the power or money to influence our government, and there is no evidence to show that they even tried. This doesn’t mean that there was no collusion. There was plenty of it.

Top leaders in American government have been compromised by a foreign power that seeks to undermine our country and our democratic system. Many of the very people who ranted so hysterically about Russia, even as they were yelling about Vladimir Putin, are the same people who are working on behalf of a foreign power. They were doing precisely what they proclaim to decry. It was under our chief global rival, the government of China. The Russian collusion hoax was in fact a diversion to cover up what was no hoax at all.

On November 28, 2020, a Chinese professor named Di Dongsheng made a telling on-camera claim. He said, “The Trump administration is in a trade war with us, so why can’t we fix the Trump administration? Why between 1992 and 2016 did China and the U.S. use to be able to settle all kinds of issues? I’m going to throw out something that may be a bit explosive here. It’s because we have people at the top. At the top of America’s core inner circle of power and influence. We have our old friends.” The words tell the story. This is as close to an admission of guilt that has ever surfaced. According to Dongsheng, China has people in the core of the inner circle of power and influence of America, and has had those people there for decades. The question is, who are these people and how many of them work in our government and our media?

At another point in Dongsheng’s speech, he said that one agent in particular was especially useful. He describes her as an American who has lived abroad for years, and is now a Chinese citizen. This seems to baffle him; why would any country allow dual citizenship? He explains that this agent helped the Chinese government with a propaganda operation in the city of Washington in 2015. He suggested that the Obama administration was easy to manipulate. The Chinese had many friends among the Obama administration. The problem came when Donald Trump was elected, then everything changed he said.

“For the past 30 years, 40 years, we have been utilizing the core power of the United States. As I said before, since the 1970s, Wall Street had a very strong influence on the domestic and foreign affairs of the United States, so we had a channel to rely on. But the problem is that after 2008, the status of Wall Street has declined and more importantly, after 2016, Wall Street can’t fix Trump. Why? It’s very awkward. Trump had a previous soft default issue with Wall Street, as there was a conflict between them, but I won’t go into details. So during the U.S.-China trade war, Wall Street tried to help and I know that, my friends on the U.S. side told me that they tried to help, but they couldn’t do much.”

Since the 1970s Wall Street has had an enormous influence over the way the United States government operates, and Chinese officials have an enormous influence on Wall Street, said the economics professor. That arrangement worked well for a long time, but when Trump was unexpectedly elected in 2016, Wall Street was infuriated. “They can’t fix Trump”, he said, but they tried. The mystery is solved. If you ever wonder why our political class has stood by and allowed the Chinese government to degrade this country and our way of life, stood by as the Chinese government has flooded the United States with deadly opioids that have killed hundreds of thousands, and stood by as life as we know it was taken away right in front of our eyes after they let a deadly infectious disease into this country, and across the world for that matter, there is your answer.

Earlier this year, the head of the Harvard Chemistry Department was arrested for taking $50,000 a month in return for sending secrets and referring top scientists to Beijing. You probably aren’t even aware that it happened. Why? Because so many people are in on it. Donald Trump on the other hand, was an impediment to their lucrative operation. He was willing to call it out, and make known what was really happening. They saw him as a threat to them because of this.

This threat was too powerful, so, as Di Dongsheng says, they got to work on a plan to get a new president elected. He said, “But now we’re seeing Biden was elected, the traditional elite, the political elite, the establishment they’re very close to Wall Street, so you see that right? Trump has been saying that Biden’s son has some sort of global foundation. What helped him build the foundations? There are a lot of details in all these.”

Dongsheng mentions that Trump has mentioned Hunter Biden, and confirmed that it is a legitimate story. That is why no one was permitted to talk about it in the weeks leading up to the presidential election. No one was able to bring up Hunter Biden’s laptop, while big tech and the rest aligned to suppress the story. It’s all connected- Chinese agents have powerful ties to America’s government elites, they were threatened by a Donald Trump presidency, and plotted a plan to remove him from office, censoring and punishing anyone who dared to call out the truth, undermining our First Amendment right to free speech. All of this coming directly from a Chinese professor.

In the October interview of Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of the Biden family, he says that he believes Joe Biden is compromised in dealing with China, should he be elected president. In a Fox News interview, Gordon Chang, a senior fellow at the Gatestone Institute said that “This video shows the arrogance of Chinese leaders. This is how Chinese leaders think, and because they think this way, they are going to push a President Biden around, and do things which are dangerous because we’re going to have to push back. Under President Trump, the Chinese didn’t try this because they were afraid of him. What I’m concerned about is the state of mind of China. We see this from Xi Jinping, the Chinese ruler, all the way down to Di Dongsheng. This is dangerous.” He also says that the Trump administration can use the remaining time they have in office to break some of those connections that are obviously a threat. They can use the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977, and the Trading With The Enemy Act of 1917. Chang finished by saying that, “we’ve got to break those connections because if we don’t do that, we are going into a point where we won’t be able to detour China because they are so arrogant, so belligerent, that they think they can buy any American politician including the President of the United States, and therefore they are going to be tempted to do something that can’t be unwound.”

Another person to point out this threat is John Ratcliffe, the Director of National Intelligence.  He wrote an op-ed stating as clearly as anyone has ever stated the nature of the threat that we face from China. He called the Communist Party of China “the greatest threat to democracy and freedom worldwide since World War ll.” An excerpt from the piece reads, “The intelligence is clear: Beijing intends to dominate the U.S. and the rest of the planet economically, militarily and technologically. I call its approach of economic espionage ‘rob, replicate and replace’... China robs U.S. companies of their intellectual property, replicates the technology, and then replaces the U.S. firms in the global marketplace.”

Those aren’t legal disputes, they have real consequences for millions of American workers, on our standard of living, and what the next generation of children will do. Ratcliffe noted that in 2018, a Chinese wind turbine manufacturer ripped off trade secrets from a Massachusetts-based infrastructure company called American Semiconductor. Based solely on that theft, American Semiconductor lost nearly a billion dollars in value, and had to cut 700 jobs. That didn’t happen because the company was careless, it happened because they were a victim of theft.

According to Ratcliffe, “China also steals sensitive U.S. defense technology to fuel President Xi Jinping’s aggressive plan to make China the world’s foremost military power. U.S. intelligence shows that China has even conducted human testing on members of the People’s Liberation Army in hope of developing soldiers with biologically enhanced capabilities. There are no ethical boundaries to Beijing’s pursuit of power.”

It is clear where this is leading, and Ratcliffe spells it out, saying, “Beijing is preparing for an open-ended period of confrontation with the U.S.. Washington should also be prepared. Leaders must work across partisan divides to understand the threat, speak about it openly, and take action to address it.”

Responsible leaders like Jason Ratcliffe are the leaders that need to be paid attention to, and listened to. If we continue to ignore what is clearly happening, and threatening the future of this country, there will be no limit to China’s world power and more importantly, its power over the United States. That’s why the Chinese government poses the greatest threat to America in 2020.
