The Ultimate Inside Scoop on the 2020 GRAMMYs performances

The 2020 Grammy’s were a hit! Alicia Keys hosted and kicked the night off with a rather somber piece of news. Singing with Boyz II Men a tribute song, mourning the death of Kobe Bryant. Tyler the creator’s performance was...interesting! Quite frightening to say the least. Half of Twitter is DISAPPOINTED. Although, the other half thought his use of wigs and techno lights was pure genius.

Camilla Cabello’s song to her father brought me to tears. She sang about how her father was the first man to love her and it made him cry in the audience. Her piece conveyed that even though her father may not be so sure of who she is dating, he was the first man who really loved her. It was truly a beautiful experience. I don’t think there was dry eye while she was performing.

Ariana Grande performed her biggest hits with some talented dancers and there was even an outfit change during her act!

Lizzo played her flute like a goddess! Her and her dancers wore colorful bodysuits and her performance kicked off the night! Billie Eillish performed my personal favorite song of hers; when the party’s over. She carried out this song with her brother, Frankie who played piano.

Demi Lovato sang her new single titled Anyone. It was written to share her emotions of her recent overdose last year. At the start of her act, she got choked up and had to restart. The audience started cheering her on and motivating her to restart. She began again and gave a powerful performance.

Aerosmith performed a medley of songs including “Walk This Way.” Run DMC joined them in “Walk This Way” and created their own hip-hop spin on the song. The country duo; Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani performed their duet “Nobody But You.”

The Jonas Brothers performed with a gold and black, bright display of lights and colors! It was very fun to watch and they engaged with the audience. Their wives were all sitting together and they inspired their husbands and cheered them on! We love a supportive wifey!

Rosalía Vila Tobella was nominated for her first GRAMMY. She is an up and coming Latin artist who performs all her songs in Spanish. At only 26 years old, she is making herself known. All in all, the Grammys was Music’s night to shine. It sure did!

“I thought Tyler The Creator’s performance was very scary man. I didn’t even know who he was until the Grammys, but I sure wish I didn’t see that!” -Julia Perz

“I think Billie Eillish is overrated ngl, but sis has pipes! I just don’t personally like her music.” -Melina Sandel
