The Cast of Avatar the Last Airbender is Having a Reunion this Saturday!
Even though the show is over 15 years old, Avatar the Last Airbender’s fandom is still going strong, especially after the show was released on Netflix last May. This Saturday, January 9th, the cast is having a virtual reunion through the company StageIt. While the reunion features the majority of the original cast like Dante Basco, who voices Zuko, Jack DeSena who voices Sokka, and of course Michaela Murphy who voices everyone’s favorite earthbender: Toph. The most exciting part about this reunion is that the voice actor of the main character, Aang, Zach Tyler Eisen, is going to be there.
After ATLA, Zach essentially went off the grid only doing one or two other small voice acting roles in the early 2000s. From then until this July, no one knew what became of him, including his fellow co-stars from the show. The Avatar truly had disappeared. However, in July he did an interview on youtube causing a huge outcry of excitement because our Avatar had returned! Junior Anna Perz says, “When I saw on Instagram that the reunion was happening I was so happy! I watched Avatar over quarantine and absolutely loved it so this reunion is definitely something I am looking forward to!” If you are interested in seeing the reunion, tickets are only $10 and you can purchase them here. The reunion won’t be that long, as the showtime is listed as only 60 minutes. However, it will be very exciting to see the people who brought some of our favorite characters to life interact with each other after all this time!
