Peacock’s new show, Girls5Eva

Tina Fey’s new musical comedy Girls5Eva is delightfully funny and refreshingly sardonic. Starring Broadway alumni Sara Bareilles, Renèe Elise Goldsberry, Ashley Park, and Andrew Rannells, along with comedic actresses Busy Phillips and Paula Pell, Girls5Eva is packed with stars. This show is about a 90’s girl group that had fallen out of fame, showing their new lives in the present. Though, once a rapper called “Lil’ Stinker” samples one of their songs and goes viral, the group gets together and decides that they want a comeback. With many famous guest stars like Stephen Cobert and creator Tina Fey, this show is full of hysterical moments.

Girls5eva is a Peacock original. All 8 episodes are available now, with the first episode being free. The next 7 can only be watched with a Peacock Premium subscription, like all other Peacock Original shows. Each episode is relatively short, clocking in at 20-30 minutes. With spectacular and hilarious performances from the actors and stellar reviews, this show has the potential to be the best Peacock production yet.
