The Harborfields Football team took Suffolk County by storm after reaching a record of 6-2 in this 2017 season. The team, led by quarterback PJ Clementi, is finding great success on all sides of the ball and the guys surely hit the ground running as they are aiming to secure a top seed in the playoffs in order to obtain “home field” advantage.

It seems that one of the most common injuries that is occurring in high school and college athletes is ACL tears. ACL stands for Anterior Cruciate Ligament and is the ligament that connects the .. There are some theories that have been explored as to why this is occurring but none of them have been proven to be true 100% of the time. It is concerning that young athletes have such a high frequency of this injury, which can be seen in the Harborfields population.

Already locked into a playoff spot, the Lady Tornadoes took on the Kings Park Falcons in their final home game of the season. Not only were the Lady Tornadoes looking to send off their seniors, but to hopefully improve their seed in the Suffolk County playoffs.

As the spring sports teams are entering into the second half of their seasons, there are many people to look out for. There are a few athletes that should be followed through the rest of their seasons, having started out on the right foot. Hopefully, these athletes will continue to prosper as the teams make their mark in playoffs this year.

After being postponed a day due to rain, the Tornadoes and Warriors looked to lock in for a pivotal league game.

Although there have been great advancements in the options for ACL reconstruction, it would be better to prevent the injury in the first place. Most people are starting to realize that doing leg strengthening programs can drastically reduce the number of people that are sidelined because of an injury like this one.

League Champs is not the only title that both the boys and the girls are looking to secure this year. Playoffs are around the corner and the Tornadoes continue to work hard to make sure that they are at the top of their game when the time comes. The first round starts at home for the boys starts Friday, February 17 @ 4:00pm and the girls starts Saturday, February 18 @ 1:00pm.
