The Eras Tour Effect
The Eras Tour has taken the US and the world by storm. This is Taylor Swift's 6th tour and she has just won the show of the summer at the VMA awards, bringing “Swiftys'' together and even helping people who aren't fans.
The tour started on March 17, 2023 and is set to end on November 23, 2024. In that time she has also planned to re-record albums so she can have them under her own label (also known as her “Taylor’s versions”). On the tour she announced Speak Now (Taylors version) as well as 1989 to be released by October 27th. The tour is giving a lot of publicity for these rerecordings.
It is her most expensive and also the most expansive. According to Time Magazine, this tour alone has a projected gross of $2.2 billion in the United States alone! The federal bank of Philadelphia speaks of how Taylor Swift's tour has increased travel and hotel bookings, and this is not just in Philadelphia. Hotels in the location of the tours have been booked all over the nation. .
The tour has also helped clothing stores and websites, with almost everyone getting new clothes for the tour causing multiple clothing store sales to have a spike in sales. This tour has become so famous the movie being made about it (coming out on October 13) and the presale ticket sales for the movie have already 26 million on the first day of sales.
