“Booed” with Interact Club

Coronavirus has stopped many school events including the tradition of Safe Halloween. Where all the clubs would decorate an area in the school while handing out candy to the little kids who would walk around the entire building as a safe way to “trick or treat.”

Now, the high school could not host this event because of the virus. The Interact Club was ready to make Halloween fun this year no matter what.

These students filled and decorated 1,200 goody bags with non-edible Halloween trinkets. Which include, vampire rings, bubbles, spider rings, Halloween stickers and tattoos. They called it “booed WDPS and TJL” as the members wanted to bring Safe Halloween to the younger kids in the district. Both teachers and students help to produce the quantity of bags.

After they were completed some of the Interact students went to drop them off at Washington Drive Primary School. They also went to drop bags off at Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School.
