The Greatest Showman-The Greatest Movie or Not?

Inspired by the imagination of P. T. Barnum and his famous circus show, The Greatest Showman is an original movie-musical that celebrates the birth of a unique kind of show business. It tells the story of a man who grew from down low in debt, to riches and stardom, becoming a new family favorite that has sparked a worldwide sensation. Starring Zac Efron and Zendaya with their leading man, Hugh Jackman, the cast couldn’t have been more awe-inspiring in their talents. There was a myriad of great messages: from growing a business and believing in yourself despite those who tell you that it’s impossible, to overcoming battles with the media, and also establishing the true importance of family. Owen Gleiberman claims through a Variety article that “The numbers in "The Greatest Showman" have a dance-pop fire that keeps you hooked,” while Jason Zinoman of The New York Times says “It may not be quite the greatest show on Earth, but Gracey, Jackman and the entire cast are deeply committed to entertaining and leave you feeling an old-school musical thrill.” Many criticized this movie as mediocre or corny, but with some favorite stars in the cast and a heart-warming story for the whole family, there’s no possible way to claim that it isn’t a fun-filled and enjoyable movie for any age.
